Project Resourcing with COMET

We are introducing COMET Resource augmentation process With a noble approach to assist a greater number of underprivileged and talented students from remote places, in turning their potential skills into success stories.

Along with the needy students, this approach will also benefit the aiding organizations in multiple ways (as explained below).

COMET Resourcing Model

  1. The process starts with an organization who is interested to adopt this resourcing strategy with COMET Foundation

  2. The partnering organizations provide COMET students (B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc IT students) some training and high-quality assignments. This training is related to the organization’s line of business and it is one time activity from the organization side. Once the first batch of COMET students is trained, the subsequent training to the new batches will be conducted by COMET students internally.

  3. COMET students complete the assignments and delve deeper into the subject to improve their abilities. under the guidance of COMET mentors/helping hearts.

  4. When the aiding organizations need project resources, they can contact COMET and get the trained students for their projects. The lead time to fulfill a resourcing request from the COMET side can be 2-8 weeks.

  5. With this resourcing model, the aiding organization can hire skilled interns for FREE. However, the company can pay a certain sum (in accordance with industry standards) to the COMET Foundation when hiring experienced applicants from COMET or when turning the interns to full-time employees.

Supporting organizations have three options for implementing this model -

Option 1: Organization can provide one time training to COMET students on a particular tool/technology as a social service but defer the decision about internship opportunity to the COMET students.

Option 2: Organization can provide one time training to COMET students on a particular tool/technology and can sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with COMET, considering qualified COMET students for internship opportunity on performance basis.

Option 3: Organization can provide one time training to COMET students on a particular tool/technology and can sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with COMET, considering qualified COMET students for internship opportunity on performance basis, from COMET Centre itself. In this scenario, interns can work from COMET centers virtually and come into the office as needed.

Contact us if you would like to consider this resourcing model for your organization.

  • If the organization is interested, it can use the COMET center to house the work of the COMET-selected students, which will save money on infrastructure requirements..
