There are several engineering colleges in rural India which lack the necessary infrastructure, staffing levels, and internship and employment opportunities.As a result, even though a good number of students are completing their engineering from such remote places, they are not able to make a good career because of lacking infrastructure and opportunities. COMET is working to close this known gap by helping the students with FREE training, internship and job opportunities.

COMET is able to provide internship opportunities to the COMET students during their college studies. Some companies have agreed to allow the COMET students to do their internship from COMET centres in remote areas itself, that means students don’t need to go to metro cities for their internship.

COMET team is working with more organizations so that more students can do their internship from COMET centres in their hometown.

Glorifying Track-record of Engineering colleges located in remote places

Reward to the champions: students who emerge as champions in different tools and technology will be referred by COMET to different IT companies.

Based on our prior experiences, we believe that the following idea, if implemented, can significantly glorify the track record of engineering institutions in remote places:

• Organize an annual competition for all B.Tech college students across Uttarakhand's Hills district.


• Identify Champion from each semester for every tool/technology


• Reward and recognition of champions.


• Help these winners with COMET recommendation for internship/job opportunity.
